  1. It doesn’t find my Leica Disto.

Wow…didn’t realize there were comments here…Sorry.  If the Disto has never been paired with your Android device than you need to go into the Bluetooth settings and pair with the Disto.  Make sure the Disto’s Bluetooth button is turned on (the BT icon will be flashing) then go to your Android devices BT settings and search for devices it should pick up the Disto and then ask you to enter a pairing pin, enter “0000” then the Disto should pair.  Now open the Disto Sketch App and touch the BT icon at the top right corner of the screen as long as the Disto’s BT icon is still flashing it should connect.

  3. Is there any way to get the Didsto Sketch program to output the area of the enclosed and sketched area?
Also, just crunch numbers. Measuring roofs, interior and exteriors for, ceiling, wall and roof painting would be a breeze if this was possible.

  4. Useless because it doesnt auto scale the lines you draw when doing a floorplan. Such a simple feature to add too…

  5. Does this device give you the total area (sf.)?

  6. can disto be paired/connected with Arduino processor?

+HitAndMissLab if your processor allows syncing with Bluetooth 4.0, then it will accept the Disto E7100i, E7500i, D810 Touch, and S910. If it accepts Bluetooth 2.0, then it will accept the Disto D330i

    • +AdvancedDimensions.com Thanks for the reply. I am more worried about API, are there any code libraries for AVR processors?

+HitAndMissLab This would be a great question for Leica Geosystems. I would contact them directly and ask.

    • +AdvancedDimensions.com Just be careful not to put them off, because they might consider it hacking. On the other hand there is a huge community of people, like Arduino fans, who would live to have this feature. Just search “Arduino Laser Rangefinder” and you’ll see tech. enthusiast had been trying everything under the sun, to connect with one LR.

Please let me know as soon as you get the answer.

  7. I know this is an older video but have you guys been able to pair a d330i with an iPhone/iPad? I see on the App Store the new lasers are supported but doesn’t say anything about this one.

This model should connect without a problem using the standard Bluetooth protocol.
